Jamison is running for State Representative in the 5th Bristol District because he believes Beacon Hill needs more voices who understand working families’ struggles with affordability and are ready to tackle them head on.
From housing and property taxes to health care and the cost of education, he has heard the same message at kitchen tables and local meetings: people feel squeezed and too often ignored by state government.
As a Selectman, former School Committee member, and small business owner, Jamison has seen how outdated state funding formulas, unfunded mandates, and slow bureaucratic processes leave towns like Somerset, Dighton, Swansea, and Taunton to fend for themselves. He is running to bridge the gap between local needs and state‑level action—bringing practical, municipal experience to Beacon Hill so that state policy actually works on the ground.
Jamison is a Democrat focused on smart, strategic economic growth that creates opportunity without constantly asking residents to pay more. He believes that a unified South Coast legislative delegation can deliver better infrastructure, schools, and jobs for the entire region.
This campaign is about bringing people together—Democrats, Republicans, and unenrolled voters—around common‑sense solutions that make it possible to live, work, and retire with dignity in the 5th Bristol.
